About the Artist
Billy Sherry is an American sculptor working in welded steel on Nantucket. A Georgetown University graduate who studied under Leonard Cave, he moved from carved wood to large abstract steel after working with French sculptor Marc Berlet in Miami. His sculptures have stood in the public parks of Tudor City Greens and Fort Tryon Park in New York, shown for more than a decade with The Art Cabinet Nantucket, and were a founding presence at The (x) Gallery. His work is held in private collections in Munich, London, New York, Washington, D.C., and Nantucket.
